Software for positioning on the lunar surface, on the navigation and communications infrastructure now being deployed.
Quantitative Framework: we describe how a lunar position is estimated and how the risk of that estimate is quantified. Statistics that already matured in quantitative finance are complementary to lunar navigation.
We provide two capabilities that make autonomous navigation more efficient: a network correction that isolates and subtracts the systematic error shared among assets, and the translation of that precision into an operational risk verdict.
Purpose
01
Position estimate
We fuse the available sources over time and model the structure of the error, including the component shared among nearby assets.
02
Risk verdict
We translate that reading into a verdict on this position: RISK ACCEPTABLE or RISK EXCEEDED. The threshold is parametrizable for each client.
Roadmap
01
SDK and APIs
Software to integrate into different types of missions. It improves precision and time, combining signals, the available map and PEHUER risk data.
02
Simulator
Environment to design, validate and train lunar missions before execution.
03
Network environment
Each asset that uses PEHUER contributes and receives crossed corrections. The network improves with each mission: the more assets, the more precise for everyone.
